Haarlem-Noord neighbourhood information
With about 56,000 inhabitants, Haarlem Noord is the largest district of Haarlem. The district is located north of the NS railway station and can be divided into the following neighbourhoods: Delftwijk, Indischebuurt, Spaarndam, Ter Kleefkwartier, Zaanenkwartier, Transvaalwijk, Vogelenbuurt and Vondelkwartier. In Haarlem Noord, single-family houses were built in the early 20th century, but you will also come across newer apartment complexes and houses. Sports fans are in for a treat: you will find baseball and softball club Sparks, baseball club Kinheim, hockey club Haarlem, korfball club, Tennispark Pim Mulier (with Padel courts) and several football clubs (DSS, Onze Gezelle, Haarlem-Kennemerland, Schoten) in Noord. There is also a (partly) indoor ice rink! Several green parks and recreational parks are located here. These include the Noordersportpark (Schoterbos) and Zaanenpark.
