Overspaern Makelaardij supports KiKa foundation

Overspaern has been supporting the KiKa Foundation for many years. One way we do this is by buying the well-known KiKa bears, you may have seen them in our showroom. We like to give the youngest generation of our customers such a sweet teddy bear as a gift.

KiKa foundation

Stichting Kinderen Kankervrij (KiKa) was founded in 2002 by Frits Hirschstein and Maarten Stoopendaal (Director communications agency Giftkikker). It was prompted by the request of Prof Rob Pieters of the Sophia children's hospital in Rotterdam and Prof Huib Caron of the Emma children's hospital in Amsterdam to see if more money could be made available for child cancer research. The foundation's overall goal is to raise funds for innovative research and other activities in the field of childhood cancer, aimed at less pain and struggle, more cures and a higher quality of life later in life.
More specifically, KiKa aims to:
  • Increasing the cure rate.
  • Improving the quality of treatment (less aggressive where possible).
  • Reduction of side effects after treatment (effects later in life).
